Why Invest Money In The Canon 50mm 1.2 Lens?

I certainly not someone who takes photographs with my camera for a living, I am simply somebody who likes to go out and take great photos. I have owned my Canon digital SLR camera for about 18 months and decided to invest in the Canon 50mm 1.2 lens even though the reviews I had read about it weren’t that positive.

Okay it isn’t the cheapest lens you can buy for digital SLR cameras from Canon and I had heard of problems with focusing. However since I have owned mine, which is well over 6 months, now I haven’t had a problem with mine. In fact the shots I have been able to take with mine have been absolutely brilliant.

So why should you be thinking of investing money in the Canon 50mm 1.2 lens as I have done?

Well the fist thing to note about this amazing piece of kit is that it really does allow me to hone in a certain subject. So the images that I end up taking up that much more powerful and strong. Plus the images are very sharp.

Another thing I love about this particular item is the way in which it has been made. It is very well made and is very solid and heavy. I actually dropped it by mistake the other day when trying to change lenses quickly and was overwrought that it wouldn’t work any more. But after closely inspecting mine I was surprised to find that there wasn’t any damage to the exterior of it.   However the real test came when I did some tests to see if it would still focus accurately and was surprised to find that everything had remained the same.

Okay the Canon 50mm 1.2 lens isn’t actually as versatile as a zoom lens is but I haven’t found a zoom lens as yet that is capable of performing as well as this one does. But then as I prefer to be able to take photos that enable the subject within them to stand out this lens has turned out to be perfect for what I need.

Also another feature that has proven extremely good when using this lens on my camera is that even in low light conditions it is able to pick up more natural light.   So I have found that using the flash on my camera isn’t required as often.   In fact I prefer having natural light available to me rather than having to use the flash because it really does help to ensure that I am able to get more out of the shots I take.

As I have already mentioned above I haven’t myself had to deal with any issues regarding focusing. From the moment I took it out of the box it has worked absolutely brilliantly. Overall I would have to say that the Canon 50mm 1.2 lens is a really great piece of equipment and was worth every single cent spent on it.   I really do wish I had chosen to invest in this lens a lot sooner.
